Major Moscow's Attacks Disrupt Electricity In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's power facilities have faced increased attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to blackouts in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while local people in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and dealt with problems to drinking water, according to municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a minor was lost their life in a distinct assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, based on information from local officials.

Moscow has increased attacks on energy facilities over the past few days, while the country's government has demanded "concrete actions" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the US, Europe and the Group of Seven - in providing defensive weapons and enforcing restrictions," he wrote in a social media post.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 rockets attacked the country's power systems, characterizing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to repair systems.

A series of attacks hit energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by city authorities.

Local officials said the urban area experienced significant strikes overnight. A minor was killed and multiple civilians were injured.

The strikes follow evenings of air raids in the territory, parts of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The whole nation is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to detect.

Authorities told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already affecting fuel infrastructure.

He said utility staff and authorities were preparing for more assaults.
