British Airways to provide complimentary quick onboard connectivity by way of Starlink partnership
Travelers aboard British Airways will soon access quick internet onboard at no cost after a recent agreement involving the billionaire's satellite firm.
Free plus High-speed Internet Available to Everyone
The carrier revealed that this complimentary, “fast and dependable” wifi provision through Starlink is set to be offered to passengers in coach, premium economy, or premium cabins from soon.
Expanded Deployment Over Multiple Carriers
The parent firm for the airline, the airline group, confirmed it had finalized an agreement with the satellite firm to provide internet access for 500-plus planes within their carriers, which also include Aer Lingus, the Spanish carrier, and Vueling.
Seamless Internet from Gate to Landing
British Airways noted that this rollout for the technology was included in a multi-billion pound “modernization” initiative that will offer lag-free internet coverage to travelers from boarding to arrival, even when they are flying above oceans and far-off locations.
Passengers may connect multiple devices while they will not need a special access code.

Current Wifi Services
Basic connectivity service remains provided to BA travelers across nearly all of their aircraft using their .air platform.
Participants of the airline's frequent flyer program are able to dispatch texts plus text-only messages onboard at no cost, whereas passengers wishing to access music, video, or movies on the journey who are not travelling in premium cabins may be charged between four pounds ninety-nine and £21.99 for one internet plan.
